Sited at the lower end of the Meadow, Field Maple is a spacious 17' Yurt based on a traditional Mongolian design, with felt lining for additional insulation.
It is set on it's own expansive deck with integral fully equipped camp kitchen and specially designed compost loo for guests' sole use. Also on the deck are outdoor chairs and dining table with parasol for hot summer afternoons. Field Maple gets sun all day and as well as beautiful pastoral views across the Escley valley, it also has stunning views back toward the mountains and gets the benefit of the last rays of the setting sun at dusk.
Field Maple is decorated in bright Asian pinks and blues, using Fair Trade ethnic floor coverings and hand painted bespoke shelves and vintage wooden trunk for storage. There is a really comfy king size bed and pocket sprung mattress, made up with quality hypoallergenic duvet, pillows and pure cotton bed linen. There is also a comfy sofa, interior table and chairs, the all important wood burner and even a handy coat stand for wet weather gear! It's a level 90m walk to the luxuriously appointed washouse.
Built from a mixture of sustainable British hardwoods by truly skilled craftsmen, these yurts offer a beautiful natural wooden interior under a tough weatherproof canvas cover that can withstand whatever the British weather can throw at it.
We have returned to this wonderfully peaceful place, we absolutely love it, our little piece of Herefordshire heaven.
