Arriving:

You can arrive any time after 4.00pm and we suggest you try and arrive before dark as that makes it easier for you to get settled in.

Our local shop (Longtown) closes at 5.00pm so if you need supplies then it is advisable to stock up before you arrive.

Getting Here:

By Car from Abergavenny

(via M4 in Wales or Brecon directions)

Take the A465 towards Hereford. After passing through Llanvihangel Crucorny you will get to Pandy.  On the far side of Pandy you pass the Park Hotel on the right (big white building) and you take the next turning on the left beside the Old Pandy Inn signed to Oldcastle and Longtown.  Follow this road for about 4 miles to Longtown.  As you enter Longtown, pass the 30mph sign, cross a little bridge, pass Tan House Farm B&B on the right then take the road forking right signed to Michaelchurch and Hay.  Passing the Post Office/Shop on the right continue for about 4 miles to Michaelchurch Escley.  Just after the church in Michaelchurch Escley (on your right) turn left signed to Craswall.  Follow the road up the hill for about a mile, and as it flattens out at the top, the road swings right.  In front of you is the entrance to Old Shawles and Shawles Farm and ther is a small tarmac lane to your left.  Take this left hand lane and Glebe Farm is 500 yds on the left, behind a wooden gate saying Glebe Farm.  Take it easy on the lanes, the pot holes can be man eaters!

(Via M50/M5 direction)

Take the A 49 towards Hereford.  After passing through Harewood End, take the next left (B4348 signed to Hay on Wye).  Follow this road crossing the A466 at Wormelow and the A465 (Hereford Road) at Allensmore (big Shell petrol station on corner), still signed to Hay on the B4348.  Follow the road all the way to Vowchurch where there is red tarmac on the road going into a dip.  Turn left here, signed to Michaelchurch Escley.  Follow this road for about 5 miles until you come down a hill and over a bridge to a T-Junction at Michaelchurch.  Turn left and pass the cricket ground (on you right), and then turn immediately right signed to Craswall.  Follow the road up the hill for a bout a mile, and as it flattens out at the top, the road swings right.  In front of you is the entrance to Old Shawles and Shawles Farm and ther is a small tarmac lane to your left.  Take this left hand lane and Glebe Farm is 500 yds on the left, behind a wooden gate saying Glebe Farm.  Take it easy on the lanes, the pot holes can be man eaters!

The nearest station is Abergavenny(14 miles), and the nearest bus stop in Michaelchurch Escley (2 miles). We may sometimes be able to pick guests up from Abergavenny for a small fee.
