About High Meadow Yurts

about us

Anna is an experienced, lifelong horsewoman and Hugh a farmer’s son turned pilot.  We arrived at Glebe Farm in 2007 after 17yrs of living in a variety of places around the UK and abroad.  You only have to take a walk onto Hatterrall Ridge to understand why we chose to settle and stay here!  The Yurt Glamping business helps us to maintain and share the beautiful and unique border landscape that gives such a special character to this beautiful area.

About Glebe farm

The Farm is all grassland grazed by sheep, cattle and horses.  This means the fields are rather like unkempt lawns, easy to walk through with stunning views to the Black Mountains!  We think of this place as an oasis of calm, where you can leave behind the stress of everyday life and just listen to the birds and the wind in the trees.

Peace and quiet is what we do best!

Our favourite bits: A walk over to Llanthony Priory - great toasted sandwiches. Canoeing down the River Wye, and visiting the ice cream shop in Hay on Wye, the elderflower sorbet is fantastic! Thank you Hugh and Anna for creating this beautiful relaxing place, the glorious view across the meadow will be a lasting memory.
